Prime Minister Justin Trudeau met yesterday with the Chancellor of Germany, Angela Merkel, on the margins of the G7 Leaders’ Summit in Carbis Bay, UK.

Prime Minister Trudeau and Chancellor Merkel spoke about ending COVID-19 and supporting people most impacted by the pandemic. They also discussed the collaboration between Canada and Germany on shared priorities, such as fighting climate change and standing up for our shared values.

The Cultural Development Assistant contributes to the development of cultural materials, programs and events. As part of the office team the Cultural Development Assistant also works together with the Executive Director and the Office & Program Assistant to ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the Saskatchewan German Council Inc. office.

The deadline for SGC Member Funding is February 22, 2021. Forms can be downloaded and submitted via-email. The funding period that we are accepting applications forms for right now is from April 1, 2021 to September 30, 2021. No late applications will be accepted.

In celebrating the 250th birthday of Ludwig van Beethoven, join us for a conversation with Mark Turner and Eric Paetkau of the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra. We explore stories about Beethoven and his inspirations about music, musical & situational influences, and Beethoven’s global significance.
