The Saskatchewan German Council is a provincial not-for-profit corporation whose mandate is to promote German culture,language,customs,traditions and interests for the benefit of all Saskatchewan people. The SGC is seeking a Project Coordinator to work with its provincial groups and its volunteer provincial board to promote and realize the mandate of the SGC. The Project Coordinator will work closely with the President,the Executive Director,the Board of Directors and the Member groups,while reporting to the Executive Director and being guided in the daily administrative responsibilities by policies and guidelines established by the SGC Board of Directors.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The Project Coordinator is required to perform a range of duties including,but not limited to:
- develop and implement new projects for the SGC
- create / modify activities to meet expectations of the German speaking community
- consult with members groups and their representatives to determine their needs and develop programs in response to those needs
- seek out new program opportunities for the member groups
- support and assist the member groups by realizing new ideas and revitalizing current projects
- create courses to meet the changing needs of group members
- Willingness to work some evenings and weekends
Qualifications/Competencies:
- Strong interpersonal,relationship building and conflict resolution skills.
- Highly developed creative skills.
- Strong communication skills,oral and written.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Proficient in a variety of computer applications.
- Ability to work within a team.
